Jack Nicklaus founded the Memorial Tournament in 1976. The Memorial, held annually at Muirfield Village Golf Club in Dublin, Ohio, is Nicklaus' way of bringing world-class golf to the passionate fans of Ohio.

The Memorial Tournament, Nationwide Insurance, Nationwide Children's Hospital, and the Nicklaus Children's Health Care Foundation have formed an alliance to support pediatric health care. This enhanced relationship enables the Memorial to increase its long-standing support and promotion of Nationwide Children's Hospital and the Memorial Tournament Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, while combining the strengths of three very powerful organizations, all for the benefit of Central Ohio pediatric care.

Since 2012, the AJGA, Jack Nicklaus and the Nicklaus Children's Health Care Foundation have joined together to make a difference in the lives of children battling various diseases.

Juniors secure one-time donations and pledges for the amount of birdies they have in any tournament where the USGA rules of golf apply (not just AJGA tournaments).  Juniors update their birdie count throughout the year and the AJGA will help collect the pledges in the fall.

Meeting Jack Nicklaus – Jack and Barbara Nicklaus invite the top fundraisers as their guest to The Bear’s Club in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. The Bear’s Club is an ultra-exclusive club and is the personal home golf course of Jack Nicklaus. Juniors and their family are invited to a breakfast with Jack and Barbara and afterward, juniors play golf. A small travel stipend is awarded to help defray travel costs.

Playing fore their Future is the most turn-key program in Leadership Links. It enables junior golfers the opportunity to really make a huge impact as a group.
