Now in its ninth year, the event took place on March 24 and 25 at The Bear’s Club in Jupiter, Fla.

Her husband is nicknamed the Golden Bear. He’s known for his yellow sweaters, but golf legend Jack Nicklaus is color-blind, so his wife sets them out for him. And Barbara Nicklaus can’t forget the shade of the crayon their daughter swallowed years and years ago, the one that caused so much trouble: it was blue. Colors surround and define. They brighten and engage, catch the eye and lift the spirit. So it’s hardly surprising that, especially here in the new Miami Children’s Hospital Nicklaus Outpatient Center, colors are what Barbara Nicklaus mentions first.

Aldie, Virginia, September 10, 2012 -- Creighton Farms and the Nicklaus Children’s Health Care Foundation announced today a new area event -- the Creighton Farms Invitational Hosted by Jack Nicklaus, which will be take place on September 18 & 19, 2012, at the resort-style community in Aldie. Highlighted by an exclusive golf tournament, the event will benefit the Nicklaus Children’s Health Care Foundation and two local children’s hospitals: Children’s National Medical Center and Inova Children’s Hospital.
